Embark on a visual and sensory adventure

Photography and the Visual Arts

“Catalyst for a Better World”

Humanisme Vision is a committed photography festival that explores the major social and environmental challenges of our time. Through outdoor and indoor exhibitions in the Arcachon Bay, it offers an immersive visual experience designed to raise awareness, spark dialogue, and inspire change.

The festival is about to celebrate 200 years of images and humanity

2026 will mark an exceptional anniversary: the 200th anniversary of the birth of photography.

It was in 1826, from the window of his property in Le Gras, Saint-Loup-de-Varennes, that Nicéphore Niépce managed to permanently capture the first photographic image in history. A seminal gesture that would revolutionize our way of seeing, bearing witness to, and describing the world.

On the occasion of this bicentenary, our festival pays tribute to:

  • to the visionary inventor that was Niépce, whose intuition and experiments gave birth to a new universal language: photography.

  • to all those who, for two centuries, have taken a humanist look at the world, capturing fragments of life, beauty, struggle or hope, through a lens.

With this in mind, our programming will be fully in line with this dynamic, inviting the public and authors alike to take part in this great cultural and popular moment, in resonance with our artistic, participatory and civic approach.

Le Point de vue du Gras est la première photographie

Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution.
